No Strings Badminton (NSB) is a national participation programme offering low-cost, fun ‘pay and play sessions’ at a venue near you. Providing participants with a friendly and welcoming environment to play badminton, socialise and keep fit on their terms, NSB is fully inclusive and open to adult players of any age or ability.
No Strings Develop is a programme of 8 sessions designed to teach you all the badminton basics at a relaxed pace in a fun and friendly setting by a Badminton England endorsed coach.
Are you looking for a club environment to try out or play badminton and have a great experience? We have hundreds of affiliated adult clubs across the country that you can search for using our ‘Club Finder’ tool below. All clubs are individual and therefore cater for different participant needs depending on their visions and why they exist. Some clubs will cater more for social players, some will provide coached opportunities and others will be very much focused on competition.
Adult clubs across the country cater for players of all ages and abilities, so you do not need to have played before. Clubs are focused on providing a fun, enjoyable and social environment for anyone that wants to pick up a racket and play. Some clubs have requirements for the standard of play so please contact your local club to find out if they are suitable for you.

In an adult club session, you can expect a welcoming and enjoyable experience. You will be able to learn a new skill, meet new people, boost your physical fitness and mental well-being and a number of clubs also offer competitive opportunities such as league matches.
Most adult clubs will require you to take you own racket – if you do not have one, please enquire with the club before you attend. We would also suggest you wear non-marking shoes (white soled) and take a drink.
Coaching is a great way to develop your badminton skills and improve your game. A number of clubs across the country offer coaching within their sessions or, if you are looking for something more specific, you could arrange a one-to-one session with a qualified coach.

Feeling competitive? Why not enter one of our Tier 5 Social competitions where you can play with friends and compete against each other!
Social Competition is aimed at those who are new to competition and looking to gain their first experiences of competition.
Social Competition should be played in doubles format but this could be men’s, women’s or mixed and have a round robin approach maximising the number of games each pair can play.
